Your Weekend

On Friday, everyone arrives. It is a great time for you to get re-acquainted, relax and enjoy our evening bonfire. Your friends
can help to decorate the hall and enjoy a great meal.

The next morning, while the bride and her maids are attending
our local spa for a morning of relaxation & pampering, the groom
and groomsmen as well as the other wedding guests are enjoying
the amenities of the property, ... some are on the bay in our
paddle-boats & kayaks, children are building sand-castles on
the beach, families have organized volleyball, horseshoe, bocce ball, badminton and croquet tournaments, others are swimming in the heated pool, or sun tanning on the fabulous pool-side cedar deck! Everyone is having fun - right here at the resort! Some guests who have never been here before might enjoy our morning walk to the caves, cliffs or ruins of an old mansion - or might want to explore the Bruce Peninsula!

Shortly before the service is to begin, the guests and wedding party prepare themselves for the service. As guests start to gather by the banquet hall, the Master of Ceremonies announces that the time is near and everyone walks to the beach and takes their seats in front of the wedding arch.

The groom and groomsmen take their place on the grassy area beside the officiator and wedding arch, their backs to the lake, facing the guests. And here comes the bride ... either in a car, walking or a wedding coach, the bridal party arrive - hidden from the guests by the cedar hedge. When they are ready, they process down the aisle to the wedding arch.

As you say your wedding vows, you are accompanied by the sounds of birds and waves in the background! Guests taking wedding pictures have the white cliffs and forest of the other side of the lake as a spectacular backdrop for the photos.

After the service, the formal wedding pictures are taken in the arch, in the lakeside gazebo or on the beach.

The reception gets underway in the banquet hall, dinner & dancing, the bonfire is lit and the bride and groom eventually retire to one of our absolutely fabulous wedding suites!
